Two wear forms of crawler crane sprocket tumbler

The crawler crane sprocket driving teeth is subjected to the reverse bending pressure of tracked shoes, and the abrasive wear between the gear tooth and track pad teeth. Therefore, the driving sprocket wheel should use good- hardenability steel.

The wear forms of crawler crane driving sprocket tumbler is as follows:

1, Crawler crane driving sprocket teeth wear often occurs in the root of tooth, front and rear side, left and right side and the top of the tooth. When the crawler crane moving forward and the sprocket teeth holds the track shoe, the wear occurs on the front side of the gear sprocket tooth, when crawler crane driving backwards, the wear occurs on the rear flank of the gear sprocket teeth. When track crawler is too loose, the tooth impact on the side of the track section will cause the drive sprocket teeth side wear.

   2. Another wear form of the crawler crane drive tumbler tooth is the top wear. The top wear occurs when the track pads and sprocket teeth are filled with viscous material, then, the meshing relationship between drive wheel teeth and track crawler pads would be changed. As the crawler crane moving forward, that would damage sprocket and track shoe.

Our crawler crane driving sprocket wheel uses good-hardenability steel, so that the crawler crane could reduce the wear of driving tumbler, that is important to ensure high-quality work and high efficiency.
