Sprocket Function:
When the Terex American HC80 crawler crane Drive Sprocket works, it is subjected to the bending compressive stress of the tracked pin and the abrasive wear between the gear wheel and the pin sleeve. Therefore, the sprocket should be selected steel with good hardenability. There are 2 kinds of wear of crawler crane sprocket, as follows:
1.Sprocket teeth wear often occurs in the root of the tooth, front and rear side, left and right side and the top of the tooth. When the crawler crane is moving forward, the gear tooth holds up the track pin sleeve, the wear occurs on the front side of the gear teeth
2. Another wear form of the sprocket tooth is the top wear.
The top wear occurs when the track and drive wheel teeth are filled with viscous material, and the meshing relationship between the drive wheel teeth and the track pin sleeve is changed. When the crawler crane is moving forward, it will mark the side of the wheel's teeth on the back of the vertex and pin.
