3. Severe friction between sprocket and track shoe.
The track shoes are connected with the whole machine in a floating way, and the track pads will float when the machine moves. Sliding friction and pinching between the track shoes and the sprocket is inevitable, so slight wear is normal.
But be aware that improper engagement of the sprocket with the track plate can create serious friction. The specific performance is that the edge of the track shoe is severely worn, and the sprocket teeth are sunken. This is mainly related to the manufacturer's lack of strict control over product accuracy. Details are as follows:
In the design, because the manufacturer did not fully consider the casting error, the pitch fit between the track shoe and the crane drive wheel is unreasonable. Accumulated inaccuracies can cause severe wear of the track shoes as they engage the crane sprocket.
If the casting process level of the manufacturer is too poor to control the dimensional tolerance of the track shoe pin hole, it will lead to pitch deviation. As a result, the track shoes do not properly match the drive wheels.
The track pads are not properly elastic, too loose or too tight may cause poor meshing problems.

The required pre-tightening force applied to the bolt is not enough;
Due to the quality and material problems of bolts and washers, the bolts cannot be fully preloaded;
The machining accuracy of the mounting surface of the travel reducer and the bolt washer is poor, and the joint surface cannot meet the sufficient pretightening force requirements.
Manufacturers should conduct factory tests on the strength of washers and bolts, and strictly control the processing accuracy of products. These are also what crawler crane owners should pay attention to when purchasing chassis parts.
If the bolts are loose due to insufficient pre-tightening force, fasten them according to the instruction manual; if the bolts or gaskets are caused by quality defects, please contact the supplier to replace them.
5.Wear between track shoe and frame structure
The reasons are:
1. The track shoes are too loose, and the corresponding structural parts will be worn when walking.
2. The top roller is severely worn, and if it cannot be replaced in time, the track shoes may become loose. Also the track pads and track frame structure will interfere with each other. Therefore, worn parts must be replaced in time to avoid more serious and difficult consequences.
If this kind of wear occurs in the upper and lower parts of the front and rear ends of the track frame, then there must be a problem with the structural transition treatment.
