Common Trouble on Bottom Roller
1. Abrasion wear of roller body
This abrasion mainly displays in track path, edge of idler and bushing hole.
The reason for this worn is that, crawler crane work at sand land and muddy road.
Undesirable steel and low heat-treated hardness lead to poor wear resistance.
2. Oil Leaks
The shaft sleeve of bottom roller always rotate the bushing, so, it need to lubricate roller body with oil.
But, if seal ring quality is not good, it would lead to oil leaks.
If no oil lubrication between shaft and bushing, it is easy to worn out.
So, the live life of bottom roller would be shortened.
The reasons of oil leaks are as following:
1. Unqualified Floating Seal
2. Shaft’s degree of circularity is not good
3. Poor glossiness of shaft
4. Substandard gear oil
5. Tolerance
